What do I want my 50's, 60's, or 70's to look like?
Where do I want to live?
What type of lifestyle do I want?
What about my partner? Husband? Or solo?
Can I reinvent after 60? Yes!
How can I live my best MOD LIFE?
Tonya is living her best Mod.Life. What until you hear about what she's doing now!
"Hello MOD.LIFE Community! My name is Tonya Harmon, I am 60 years old and a recent first-time grandmother, Mimi to our middle son’s baby, Christopher. I'm a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
I spent my career in the field of healthcare technology, mostly with my own software company called Harmony and then with an Irish company I brought to the US after my company was sold. I ended my career at Optum, a part of United Health, as the thought leader of the next-generation global platform for clinicians, the largest healthcare system in the world.
I retired with my husband to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico two years ago, burned out and seeking a simple life with glorious weather, scenic mountain and city views, and a relaxing European lifestyle. I imagined filling my days lingering at outdoor cafés, hosting big dinner parties, learning how to paint, swimming laps, and finally reading all the books we carted here.
And I expected to be eating good cheese. For many years while working in technology I had traveled to France and Italy for pleasure, had consumed copious amounts of incredible cheese, had studied the science and technology of cheesemaking as a hobby, and spent time with shepherdesses across Tuscany studying their dairy methods.
Upon arrival in Mexico, however, I found a dearth of good artisan cheese. I spent a year seeking it out and finally found it at a large Cheese and Wine Festival a few hours away. I discovered that the artisan cheese was here, but it was hidden in plain sight. I decided on a whim to teach others what I was learning and started inviting people to come listen to my cheese stories and to taste the artisan cheeses I had been collecting. The demand for my cheese classes grew well beyond my modest expectations and today I find myself with a new venture that is growing in leaps and bounds. "
Join us for an inspired evening of learning what can be possible for you. This is an example of living the MOD.LIFE but it's just one example and it's a delicious one at that!
